Re: Discount for open carry!
Breakfast and brunch only eh? Might still check them out but I usually am either on my way to work earlier than most restaurants start serving breakfast, or I'm on the way home but too tired to go out to eat. If they're still open on the next rare occasion I eat out for breakfast I'll try them out, ...

Re: Suppressor questions
I've done transfers through both guys, not NFA but just regular FFL stuff but they were both professional and reasonably priced so I'd recommend either one.

Re: Rally at the State Capital 12/13/14
Ah, I missed that thread but since it's a little older and this one is more active I'll keep discussing it here instead of bringing that one back to life. One question I have is if it's going to be illegal to simply hand a gun to someone for a few seconds without doing a background check, then doesn...

Re: Rally at the State Capital 12/13/14
That being said, I still support the rally and making our voices heard, just wanted to let you guys know that the "I will not comply" portion of it isn't really going to work since it's not violating the new law.

Re: Rally at the State Capital 12/13/14
I'll admit to not reading all of the posts in this thread, but I just wanted to add that I read in a recent article about this rally. It had quotes from the State Patrol who said he wouldn't be arresting anyone passing guns around because it's not illegal under the new law. He specifically said that...

Re: I-594 & Taxes
How will they determine the value of the firearm? Couldn't someone just say "yeah I bought it but it was a parts gun that was all rusted out and only worth $20 tops, here's your $1.80 in taxes I owe".

Re: Where the hell was the NRA???
I may have written this somewhere else on this site but I truly think that the NRA looked at the State of Wash and its liberals and the backers with there big money and said" we can only do so much." Bloomberg has vowed to out spend the NRA and he did. I believe the NRA chose to spend their (our) m...

Re: I-594 & Taxes
Well, I don't remember where I left my voter's pamphlet at but I seem to remember it stating explicitly that it removed the requirement to tax transfers. Now, I'll wait until I find my pamphlet and give it a thorough read through but if what I'm saying is true so far, would that be grounds for a law...

Re: The effectivness of Birdshot for home defense
Video proof: The shooting starts at about 8:15, I linked it to 8:00 but if it starts at the beginning just skip to around the 8 minute mark if you want to see the action. If a human took a shot like that to the chest I doubt they'd get very far if t...

Re: The effectivness of Birdshot for home defense
My own personal testing done with my Saiga 12 gauge (smooth bore no choke 18.5 inch barrel) indicates that birdshot/target loads spread out and lose velocity extremely quickly. At 10 feet or closer it will do tremendous damage, but any further than that and the spread pattern increases exponentially...

Re: NOT FUNNY... but I still had to laugh
She stuffed the holster into a laundry bag with a bunch of other crap and left it in the car. Sorry kaiser, have to disagree with you. The handgun was secured in a locked box in a roadside emergency kit located in the spare tire compartment. Don't blame me if you can't keep the story straight. Firs...

Re: NOT FUNNY... but I still had to laugh
Sorry to play devil's advocate here, but your sister didn't leave the loaded handgun easily accessible in the car, your mom did. Especially in a bag that any potential low life thief could easily see as a target of oppurtunity. When I am forced to leave mine in the car, I use one of these: http://ww...

Re: Holding Corporations accountable
This is why Chipotle said what they said: http://bearingarms.com/long-gun-open-carriers-havent-learned-past-mistakes/ I'd say the same thing in their shoes. If I'm trying to run a business and some jackwads come in brandishing (yes, brandishing is a crime) long arms for no good reason other than to ...
