Links to keep track of status:

SB5050 - Assault Weapon Ban/Hicap mag ban: http://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillN ... &Year=2017

HB1134: Assault Weapon Ban/Hicap mag ban: http://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillN ... &Year=2017

HB1387: Assault Weapon Licensing: http://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillN ... &Year=2017

Keep the pressure up and hope these don't make it to committee, or out of committee.

Link to NRA's Institute for Legislative Action and the petition against Senate Bill SB 5050. Takes less than two minutes. Please sign it if you haven't already.

HB1387: Assault Weapon Licensing is dead.

HB1122 is going to the house and is just as bad, if not worse.

It penalizes people for no locking up their guns.

Maybe some Dems will cross over. If not we have the Senate by a hair. Keep calling

1122 went to the house as a watered down version removing the penalty for someone breaking into your home, stealing your gun and committing a crime with it, but leaving the penalty for a child within your home getting your gun and causing injury or death with it. Still bad as it could add charges to a grieving parent. The focus should be on safety education.

Now we get to see what initiatives are in store this year.

Thanks for the update on the watered down 1122. Interesting in the Spokesman article, apparently there are several pro-gun Dems in the House. Also for the AW licensing, they sought to get the endorsement of the NRA, which they didn't. That is comforting at least.
