Re: HB 2042 gives confiscation power during disasters
I read thru this bill and it gives no provision for reclamation of confiscated items and while they make it sound like common sense legislation by mentioning malotov cocktails and explosion making materials it sounds to me like another backdoor policy to ultimately take our firearms. While they do stipulate "outside of persons residence or dwelling" it sounds like a legal concealed carrier would be unable to carry and could be confiscated at any time at the discretion of local authorities.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I sent a message to my reps. opposing said bill.
