They gave me a thumbs up. This pic is about 75 yards off the port side. It is just taking off after filling with water.

I love those FireBoss tankers. they can scoop more water than the floats will actually support if stopped. one of many reasons to stay the heck out of the way. If they have to power back because some idiot boater gets in the way, & they just completely filled up, they will sink. how would you like that bill?
Just wish they weren't needed as a result of some idiot shooter. Hoping that it wasn't actually a shooter caused fire.

Either scenario requires monumental ignorance or outright abject stupidity.
The only good reason for them to be using tracers was if a Jap Zero was dive bombing them and I doubt that was the case.
My first thought was tracers. They are easy to find and would light a fire faster than tannerite I would think.

They are changing the story now saying the cause is still under investigation. Apparently there is some doubt that exploding targets are to blame. Still probably some dumbass though.

There are so many plausible reasons why it started, tannerite, tracers, volunteer fireman setting it so he could be the hero or even some fireman's kid playing with matches so his dad could get some overtime and buy him a new X Box. They are all speculation and each one is as good as the other. ;)

Fire department says it was started by explosive targets.

They also say stay away, firefighters are up there several times a day looking for hot spots and it is currently a crime scene.

Hey guys, just curious where you're getting the info from. I went down today and there was cardboard sign with tattered caution tape around it saying it was closed. Does anyone know for how long or where I would be able to keep up to date? No body around the area seemed to know much either. Looking at local news I haven't seen any official notices of closure in the news. Thanks!

I heard it was still closed. Mostly because crews are still hitting hot spots and asshats were shooting around them. Im only a mile or so away, I'll check and report back. And thanks, it's good to be alive.

Good deal. After spending hours cleaning up other people's trash, and having to buy yet another disappointment pass, I was about to get a little bit bitchy if I couldn't go
