Unless the defecation hits the rotary oscillator I should be there with at least a +1 maybe +2, I will bring some dogs with buns and paper plates

I've got to get to work at the ole' loading bench.
I just realized I'm out of 44 mag loads and low on 357.
The shoot wouldn't be much fun without some ammo to burn....

bladebum wrote:If you thought that a range clean up, bbq and a fun shoot was going to be a fun and worthwhile event by itself, you would be correct.
But wait... there's more!
As a little incentive (and to increase the fun factor just a little bit more) I've decided to donate a couple of items for a drawing.
1st: A 333 round brick of Winchester 36 gr hollow point .22 LR ammo.
2nd: A "Team Glock" ball cap (new).
Here's how it'll work.
1) Anyone that attends the range clean up (even if you can't stay all day) (13 years old or older) will be eligible to enter the drawing.
2) Only one entry per person.
3) The drawing will be held after the range clean is done and before the bbq / fun shoot starts.
4) Winner of the first draw will have their choice of the items offered.
5) Winner of the first draw will not be eligible for the second item draw.
6) etc... etc... until all prizes are given away.
7) If a minor (13+ but under 21) happens to win the ammo, a parent (or adult sponsor) will take initial possession of the ammo.
In addition, I will bring the SGT donation can for those that wish to make a cash donation to the site. Any amount is helpful and is greatly appreciated. If you are a general member (white member name) and want to upgrade to Premium member status, (red member name) please include your user name and amount donated ($20 or more required for the upgrade) along with your donation to the can.
hatchdog, please let me know if I've forgotten anything on this...

I would say just show up, but If you can PM one of the organizers like Bladebum or Hatchdog a day in advance, please do so.Millertime wrote:My work schedule is such that I often only know 24 hrs in advance, do I need to let anyone know if I can come, or if available just show up?

I would say just show up, but it would help if you could PM one of the organizers at least a day in advance so they know ho many people to cook for. Otherwise I'll share my second burger with you if you show up at 8:30 at Double Eagle Pawn in Deer Park.

Re: SGT Range Clean-up..... Deer Park Sept. 24th
Thought I'd bump this up to the top....
I'm getting all excited - I'm ready to go. I've got 150 fresh reloads in each of 3 calibers - 38spl, 357mag, and 44mag. With those and a couple of hundred rounds of 22lr in my range bag I should have plenty to feed the toys I plan to bring along next weekend.
I just put two and two together and figured something out this morning. We're in the process of buying a vacation property at the north end of Loon Lake, so it looks like Boggs Pit is going to become one of my new regular haunts.
When I go shooting in the Valley it is usually out at Mica. Since our new place at Loon Lake is only 11 miles west of Boggs Pit, it looks like that will likely become my other "home" shooting range.
So although next Saturday will only be my second trip there, I recon I'll be visiting there a lot more frequently in the future. So as someone who is soon to be a regular there, thanks in advance to everyone who's going to be working the cleanup next weekend.

Hate to say this after saying I'd be there to help but I'm going to have to cancel on this one. My back problems are unrelenting of late. Everything I've tried to do has caused days of pain afterwards. Sorry, will try another time.

Zebthemighty1, member from the Deer Park area has donated this new Buck M/119 knive to the prize drawing at this weekends clean-up. Unfortunately Zeb's work schedule will not allow him to attend this event but he has been at several prior clean-ups. Thanks Zebthemighty1!
Hey Scrappy, sorry your back is acting up and you won't make it Saturday. Get well soon!

As I said I will be there, I will bring a folding table to help out with all the seating that may be needed for the BBQ. If I can think of anything else, I will bring it to help out. Hopefully we have a good turn out and a great time.
