Stonelodge range clean up--Sept 17th, 8:30am

Post by roadglide12 » Sun Sep 04, 2016 7:11 pm

Hello SGT friends,
My son has organized a cleanup at the Stonelodge/Tumtum shooting range on September 17th as part of his Boy Scout Eagle Project.
We will be meeting there on Saturday, September 17th at 8:30am and expect to work for about 4 hours.

I understand that there is already a SGT service project scheduled for September 24th at the Deer Park, Boggs Pitt range and we fully support your efforts for that project as well. However, if anyone would like to help us at the Stonelodge/Tumtum range that morning we would appreciate your support.

If you are able to help us on 09/17/16 at 08:30 am, please bring gloves, rakes and transfer shovels. Dan Anderson, DNR Recreation Warden, will be there with garbage bags and his DNR truck for hauling the garbage out. We will provide donuts and water.

Thanks, Craig

As far as I know it is still closed for shooting. I was told by the Warden that the closure is due to continued fire danger at that range.

I drove up there Sunday, September the 4th and it still had the no shooting signs posted. These look like temporary signs, so I am hoping once the fire danger is no longer high, they will come down.
