Lets see those Turkey pics

Post by USAFRET » Tue Apr 15, 2014 12:48 pm

I'll start it off, What a great day of hunting and I got to spend it with my daughter with her first year hunting gobblers. She was so excited! She is Hooked especially since she is done for the year. She also got one during youth season.

Nice job! I would have loved to have posted up a pic from today, but came home empty handed. They were gobbling up a storm this morning though, must have heard at least 5-6 of them. They all seemed to move away from me though. :) Can't wait to go back out.

There are lots of people on here that will let kids hunt their land. all you have to do is put a post on here. I have had several kind individuals give my daughter permission for deer.

Not the monster Tom I was looking for but meat in the freezer and lots of fun! Tags are filled and would love to see your pics, especially the kids getting their Toms. I will have to hear my daughter brag all year how hers were bigger! that's OK. I like it that way! :D

Got myself a young tom today! Beard was only 3.5" and nubs for spurs but it was still a turkey.

First time he responded to my call I could barely hear him gobble. Five min later he was strutting at 30 yards. Must have ran the whole way, great hunt. The good weather seems to be helping. 8 1/2 inch beard right at about inch spurs.
