First buck at a distance **VIDEO ADDED**
Well finally filled my 2016 OTC tag. Couldn't turn up the big boys that I found during elk season and opening weekend of late season so I decided to settle for this little fella since the season was coming to a close. 4x4 at 500 yards. First big game taken this far out. My longest kill shot before this was under 200 yards which was my antlerless deer a few weeks ago. The 2016 season has been good to us. Enjoy the pics. The video should be up shortly once it is finished loading.
Video is now up on my channel. Enjoy.

That "little fella" of yours has some pretty impressive eye guards. Nice buck and we will enjoy the video no doubt! Nice shooting at 500 yds, that 20" heavy bbl Remington is a great shooter.

Re: First buck at a distance
Thanks guys, the shot wasn't perfect. Hit him a little far " buck fever" back but due to the slight angle I was shooting at it did the job. Tried to put in a second shot to drop him since my spotter started to freak out but you'll see in the video that it didn't go as plan. Either way the buck didn't go 10 yards from the initial shot and we didn't have to do any tracking so all in all it worked out in our favor and now that hunting season is over it's time to hit the shooting range again for more practice.

Now I know what that black "ring" is on the left antler is, originally I thought it was your tag under some rope. Hey, not just anyone can hit an antler at 500+ yards. Another great video, you make us feel like we were on the hunt with you guys. Thanks as always for producing and posting it.

Thanks guys. But yes I had to temporarily fix his antler for pictures lol. Should have just went with my instincts and shot for the lungs again but gotta listen to the spotter lol.
But thanks again. It's fun to record these hunts and see how much I suck after a season lol.

Good video. First off I must say She is good with the camera. It's not wobbling all over, not rapidly panning everywhere, no rapid zoom in and out, etc. Refreshing. Nice deer too! Obviously up north, kettle falls area?

She did good for her first time filming. More practice behind the lens and she'll be better. But not quite that far north. This was in unit 117.
