Back yard bucks

Post by hatchdog » Tue Nov 15, 2016 7:16 am

I saw these two bucks in my back yard gnawing on Mrs. hatchdog's feed block yesterday morning. I took these pictures from my dining room through the slider so they are a bit fuzzy. One is a 4x4 and the other is a small 3x on one side and a crazy spike which corkscrews on the other. I was surprised to see two mating age bucks together on November 14th. About a week ago just at first light I saw a buck chasing a doe and it may have been crazy spike as I only saw a left side main beam. About a month ago the 4x4 was in my driveway with another small 4x4 butting heads. Unfortunately no camera in hand for either sightings.

When I took this pic I got excited that I was going to have a challenge but the challenge was only "get the hell away from my feed block punk! Unfortunately I cut the tops of their racks off in my haste.
