Brocks Gunsmithing

Post by SnowMan » Mon Apr 10, 2017 3:22 pm

Was driving by this morning and it looked like something was going on. Looked like they were doing a major update or closing shop. Anybody hear anything?

I believe that they are closing.

I saw a sign that said close out sale or going out of business.

My understanding is that a lot of the equipment was purchased by Firearms Finishing, now located on Trent.

Thought I heard he is working out of the same shop as firearm finishing now?

The long time front man (Jerry) from Brock's is now partnered with Scott @ Firearm Finishing. They are transitioning into a new and bigger location on Trent, East of Napa right at the train crossing on the south side.
Expanding to provide a higher grade of service for existing and future customers.
I'm not completely sure of the future of Brock's, it's equipment or it's building but I've been told the building is scheduled to come down sometime.

this is interesting to me.. from what i have researched these two opperations are on opposite sides of the spectrum concerning quality of service... now I have never used Brock's, and have always been satisfied with firearm finishing.

It's not the gunsmith from Brocks who is teaming up with FF, but Jerry the counter guy who had done some finish work on the side before. I've dealt with Scott at FF for a couple of years & have been nothing but happy with his work & service (not so much with my one time gunsmithing experience at Brocks! :o ), & I wish the new partnership all the best for the future.
