Gold Dot Ammo

Post by mhi1895 » Wed Apr 12, 2017 4:38 pm

Looks like there is a blight on Speer Gold Dot .38 Special 135gr. +P ammo.

I cannot find it anywhere local and by that I mean in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.

I also cannot find it through any of the better known mail order suppliers.

Can anyone point me in a direction where I could actually find some in stock?

(And I thought finding CCI Mini-mag was hard.)

Thanks,

MHI1895

You should try out ammoseek.com, it's a pretty nice search engine for ammo/guns/magazines, etc. I've bought some stuff from companies I found through there and have had good luck so far.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately no 135 grain gold dots. 125 grain all over the place. I guess the short barrel ammo is either in demand or is not in current production.

I am going to bookmark that page though.

Thanks,

First thing I did the other day when I saw your thread here is check ammoseek. No dice.
It's unfortunate that so many have succumb to the propaganda and new age terrorism. Most of you believed the 2nd amendment gave teeth to our ability to fight for our rights. Now through coercion on a massive scale, you want to restrict our freedoms because of your fear.

Cheers to the Trump years! Here's to hoping justice returns to the land and we get 4 more!

How about gunbot.net?

I have never tried gunbot.net until I saw your posting. It is a little deceptive. I filtered for in Stock only and found several post regarding the 135 grain round. However each link just went to out of stock announcements. I do appreciate the advise though as I will use that url in future searching.

Thanks,

I am much more of a lurker than a poster on this forum (as my post count will undoubtedly confirm), but I just wanted to say a big thank you to the members of this board.

I appreciate the responses and links to help me find the ammo I was looking for this week.

And please note I used the past tense.

That is because two members were kind enough to contact me with offers to sell me ammo they had on hand.

Now this is ammo that neither were actively looking to sell in advance of my inquiry. They both offered me the ammo and at a good deal - they care about the gun community.

It touched me that each of them (tlmad and rgg16g) said they were willing to sell to "help me out".

It's people like tlmad and rgg16g that make this a great forum. And I'm proud to be a part of it.

Thanks,

MHI1895
