That one danm gun

Post by Pacific5th » Thu Sep 21, 2017 7:24 am

Anyone else run into this? I have a gun up for sale here. This gun has been almost sold 5 times now and every time at the last second the buyer backs out. Now most have had good reasons and I can't fault them for that but it sure is frustrating. I have also had lots of inquiries about the gun and they never get back to me. I have never had a problem like this before. It is what it is. Anyone else experience this?

Short story yes. I have stopped taking offers for things and will only accept offers in person. Tired of tire kickers.

Just the cost of doing business I'm afraid.

"Can I trade you my motorcycle for your gun? It doesn't run but only needs a little work to get it going"

"Hey you have a cool gun! Would you like {my five crappy Wal-Mart guns} as a trade?"

Some terms I don't understand, Wal-Mart gun? A gun wearing pajamas?

It will happen on occasion, but your pricing is fair so "stick to your guns". Lots of worse things than having to keep a nice gun for a while longer.

I'm not to worried about it one way or another. I've just never seen the same gun go south so many times.

I've been having similar experiences this year. Seems like a buyers market right now. Think I might wait for the next election to get closer before I try again.

Lots of buyers and good deals to glean their attention right now, hey at least you're not selling cars. ;-)

I'm finding so long as the parameters of the deal are right... patience is the virtue you wanna employ and its just a "all things are well that end well" business climate in the firearms markets these days.
