Re: .224 Valkyrie any thoughts?
Along with the 22 Nosler, I think they are wanting to get 22-250 performance out of a AR15 platform. A 22-250 would need to be a AR10 size. The trend seems to be taking the 22 cals up to 80-90grs. With that most 22-250's/bolt actions are 12 or 14 twist so they really won't shoot the larger bullets. With the popularity of the AR's, why not. The only question will be, which one will catch on? Its a good idea, so I'm sure one will. If it is a bolt action you looking for, get a 22-250 rebarreled with a 7 or 8 twist or so barrel. Plenty of good supplies available.

I watched a very convincing video on the ballistics of this round the other day... I was sold. Then I was like...what about other opinions from people not selling the product.
Do or do not there is no try.

Between the 22 Nosler/224 Valkyrie, i don't think you would notice any real world performance difference out of a 16"-20" gas gun. The performance is there, you just have to pick your poison so to speak. Not sure if one feeds better out of a mag than the other? The twist on the barrel is something to be aware of, But I think it would be a fun rifle. But if you go to a bolt gun, I would take the 22-250.

I agree with Snowman, they are trying to go after the higher performance associated with the 22-250 and use a heavier bullet. I just plug along with my antiquated 220 Swift and slightly newer 22-250 in bolt guns.

* I still find it kind of amazing that 22 cal performance is measured against a round that was developed in 1935.

No, you can't have my rights. I am still using them!
