Sold a bunch of stuff and saved up for another 10/22. Drilled and put in a sling swivel stud for the bi-pod to attach to, and put a cheep bi-pod on it (Caldwell for $25 on sale a few years ago). Then put a big scope I traded for on it (traded a box of 9mm and 500 range pick-ups of 9mm brass). Some people name their rifles. These are named simply the wood one and the camo one, haha. However, I did name the scope on the wood one (the new one). It's name is overkill . It is a cheepish BSA 6x24x40 with mill dots and parallax. It is death on ground squirrels (see thread in hunting from last year). Excited to be able to have a dedicated scoped 22 and a dedicated iron site 22. I enjoy shooting both styles, but I hated having to taking the scope on and off and re-sight it in. I eventually want to get a bull barrel thumb-hole stock set-up, but this will do for now. It looks kind of weird, a Frankenstein of sorts; however, I am mostly excited for it's functionality.

Re: My 10/22s
I like it. I was thinking about getting a ER shaw threaded bull barrel for my 10/22 and putting a suppressor on it and mounting a scope. I think that would be fun.

That is on my long list for sure, I've never shot anything suppressed but would really like to.

I think it would be good for many hunting situations.Wigeon wrote:That is on my long list for sure, I've never shot anything suppressed but would really like to.
If you get a bull barrel I would check out the ER shaw. I don't think you can beat them for a 100 bucks or so.
I'm just goin to hog out my wood Stock to fit the bull barrel to save some money.
I did that to my buddys, and it turned out nice .
