Rimfire matches?

Post by theAKguy » Mon Jun 20, 2016 8:37 am

Anyone know of rimfire matches [silhouette, benchrest, smallbore, steel challenge] in E. Washington or N. Idaho? I have been wanting to get involved for a while but don't know where to start. Thanks!

Contact the Spokane Rifle Club and ask to be put in contact with the small bore chairman. They participate in a fair amount of matches as well as a 10 week postal, most all of which will not start until late fall.

You might also touch base with George Dunbar at the CDA Rifle and Pistol Club. They currently have a session running, but the way I understand it, you can join in anytime.

Here's a link which also lists his phone number: http://www.cdarpc.org/sbrifle/sbrifle.html

Talked to George @ CDA Rifle and Pistol and they have a great league but it sounds like it is just for juniors.

I haven't been able to get in contact with Jeff @ Spokane Rifle and Pistol yet either but it sounded like that was a junior program as well

I would love to do 3/4 positional shooting, something like CMP Rimfire Sporter division but the closest matches are 5 hours away....

If anyone knows of any rimfire leagues for adults around Spokane/CDA let me know, thanks!

Turn out Spokane does have a smallbore league for adults starting back up in September, Wednesday nights. Very excited, thanks danno for the help and "garand" for putting me in touch with the smallbore chair :D

Tuesday at 5:00 PM at the Mica range they shoot small bore metal silhouette (40 shots at the chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams). $1.00 entry fee and membership not required for the match
