Re: favorite .22 pistol?
Darn it Smith & Wesson, I already own 4 of your brand, must I indulge more?
That new M&P 22 compact looks SWEET!
Too bad I've not been able to buy a brick in over 2 years...

Re: favorite .22 pistol?
I like my Ruger Mk II 6 inch bull barrel but my Ruger Challenger is actually more accurate even though it's more of a "handrifle" than it is a handgun. It has a Desert dog bull barrel and a trigger job by RLHas.
Government is not reason, it is not eloquence — it is force. Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master; never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.

High standard HD Milatery its what I grew up with havent shot a better one yet
Re: favorite .22 pistol?
Love my S&W model 41. I also have a few Rugers and a High Standard. Sort of depends on what you want to pay for a target pistol.

I used to have a Ruger MK1 that was very accurate and wish I still had it. Great guns, I now carry a Colt Woodsman, love it.

I have not found anything that can top the accuracy of the S&K K22 80 years old and still a tack driver.

My favorite is the ruger 22/45 both Mark II and Mark III with bull barrel. Extremely accurate and reliable plus a hell of a lot of fun to shoot.
Re: favorite .22 pistol?
MkIII 22/45 , top and bottom rails, threaded, one of the best toys/ varmit dispatchers I own.

Re: favorite .22 pistol?
...My all time favorite rimfire pistol has got to be the new Walther PPQ M2 22lr. It is the exact size a the 9mm PPQ (which is great because I have big hands), it carries 12+1 rounds rather than the usual 10+1, has a great trigger, is ultra accurate, flawlessly reliable (after 8-900 rounds, so far, of cheap 15 year old Wally-World Federal el cheapo ammo) , comes with a rail for lights/lasers and, last but not least, it comes threaded for a muzzle device/suppressor. This pistol flat out rocks! It's perfect for teaching new shooters pistol marksmanship with a full size/weight pistol but it won't bore experienced shooters. I love the idea of the threaded barrel, this thing will make a perfect suppressor host. If you are looking for a rimfire pistol, give this one a close look...

Re: favorite .22 pistol?
My favorite isn't a favorite because it is so accurate, it's a favorite because it's a cool gun I wanted SOOOOO bad as a kid.
It's a Stoeger Luger in 22LR. When I was about 8-10 years old they advertised them for sale in the back of Popular Mechanics and such.
I dreamed of getting one. A couple of years ago, I bought one on GunBroker - just because I've always wanted one.
Fun little gun to shoot. Probably not the tack driver a lot of the guns others have listed are, but still my favorite.
Looks just like this one
