Maybe "Bob" is afraid of packs of gum.... Damn dangerous if you ask me.He buys a pack of gum. Seriously. Who goes into that store to buy only gum? Is he insecure?

Dangerous indeed. The last time I chewed gum was over ten years ago. The flavor wasn't even gone and I had pulled a filling from a tooth. Gave it up for good. .bladebum wrote:Maybe "Bob" is afraid of packs of gum.... Damn dangerous if you ask me.He buys a pack of gum. Seriously. Who goes into that store to buy only gum? Is he insecure?

WOW. I always feel more comfortable. He would have been the first to protect people from a wacko. I know plenty of people that open carry and they are all "normal".

Re: Spokesman Review Letter
So he owns a gun, and presumably has a ccp, but "rarely carries in public "??? Um, where else might one carry? This man is the paranoid and jumpy one. I do sympathize with one point of his, I too wish that some of the few who open carry would refrain from the camo clothes and Bonnie caps, but that where he and I end our similarities.
A man exercises his rights, obviously in a peaceful and harmless manner, and this guy suddenly wishes he had his gun...... Hmm, sounds rather off balanced to me.
Whoever this Bob is, I would not want to be somewhere when crap happened and have him be the only armed "response" available.

Maybe the guy all dressed up was heading out to go shooting, hunting, fishing, minding his own business and he needed to stop for a pack of gum. I don't care what you wear or don't wear and I for one will not give you shyte for however you are dressed. At least you are out there showing the community that guns and people carrying them can be accomplished without a blood bath.
Poor Bob sounds like he was having a case of the vapors.

Re: Spokesman Review Letter
Agreed, Bob sounds like he has some deeper issues. I don't open carry but that is my choice. But you are allowed to in Washington. Doesn't sound like the guy was doing anything wrong. I think Bob has pre conceived notions on open carry and that hardens his thoughts on anyone who does what he does not or disagrees with. Pretty sad.

Re: Spokesman Review Letter
So Bob wishes he had his gun because of this guy open carrying? What is the difference if it is open or concealed? They would both be at the same place with a gun. I think people would be surprised how many people carry. I don't know the stats but I would guess for every open carry gun you see there are probably 100 concealed.

Bob sounds like a typical left coaster to me.
HE should have the right to carry - it's all those OTHER folks carrying that are the problem.
Especially those who don't have the "good taste" to dress like him and conceal like him...

Re: Spokesman Review Letter
I don't think "Bob" has ever touched a gun, never had a CWP, works for Bloomberg, and the guy he says he saw is only, "gun owner persona #17b" on his "gun control letters to the editor assignment list"... probably never been at a WalMart other than to picket.
He/she and has as much credibility as those other fakes that profess to be "a staunch conservative" but " Now changed his mind cuz we'd be better off with Bernie this time" all from a Soros funded boiler room operation. Of course that would be when he's not "buying/selling a gun for a friend" on sites like this, or carrying a racist sign pretending to be a Tea Partier acting badly for the cameras.
