Very rare Heckler and Koch Model 940 30-06 rifle. Only fired a few times. This is a pristine highly sought after collectors piece, featuring expensive and rare accessories like the HK 1” scope mounting system and rings, and one 3 round and two 10 round factory magazines.

•Just fully serviced, fully broken down, ultra sonically cleaned, and gone through.
•Immaculate condition

This H&K Model 940 is chambered in .30-06 Springfield, has H&K scope mounts (included) and Redfield scope with purchase. Importation of these rifles ceased 30 years ago and finding one in pristine condition like this is becoming less common. The Model 940 uses a similar, robust, roller-delayed semi-automatic action to the famous G3 series rifle, but in a sporting stock. Chambered for a classic American cartridge.

This particular firearm came from a private collection and was purchased new and then fired a few times before being stored for 30 years. It was recently fully serviced and confirmed to be in excellent condition.

Markings: The barrel is marked “.30-06”, an eagle over “N” proof mark, “IC” date code and the Ulm antler proof. The chamber ring is marked with eagle over “N” proof and “01929”. The left side of the receiver is marked “HK INC. ARL VA 22201 / HECKLER & KOCK GMBH / OBERNDORF/N MADE IN GERMANY” and “Mod. HK 940”

Barrel Length: The barrel length is 21”, 23.75” to the end of the muzzle brake

Sights / Optics: The front sight is blued blade pinned to a checkered ramp which is fixed to the muzzle brake and the rear sight is flip-up square notch leaf dovetail set to the receiver. The top of the receiver has rectangular holes which receive the H&K scope mounts.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The checkered pistol grip walnut stock has a Schnabel forend, a right handed cheek piece and a shotgun style butt. The checkering is like new. The grip cap is like new. The LOP measures 13 7/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the brown vented recoil pad. The stock is in Excellent overall condition.

It comes with the B-Square rings and bases. Also included are the original sling swivels. High quality setup.
