Norinco 213 - Tokarev TT33
i know there probably isn't a large group of people doing this, but if anyone picks up a Norinco 213 in a 9x19para (there is one for sale at army surplus) here is something fun to do.
parts:
7.62x29 barrel assembly
7.62x29 clip
dissasemble the weapon.
start by tapping out the small set pin in the lower back of the grip that holds the 9mm spacer in place. remove spacer.
reassemble the weapon but replace the 9mm barrel with your new 7.62 and load your 7.62 clip. it's just that easy!
now go throw flames. it's simple to switch back and forth between the calibers (altho i found myself staying with the 7.62 because it's so fun to shoot with those rounds).

No difference in the recoil springs? I'd think with how hot the tok round is that it'd be stiffer.

it is a bit stiffer, but i liked the 9 spring over the 7.62 spring. when i did the conversion i went ahead and ordered a new wolff 9mm spring. with the 7.62 round, it had a much crisper action and seemed to cycle faster then the 9 rounds did. there is only about a 1/4" difference in the length of rounds, and the pistol is actually set up for the 7.62 from the factory. the 9mm was an "american" modification along with the safety switch.
May a little luck be with you always!

Where can I buy parts for a norinco 213? I went to my local shops and they don't know anything.

Google Gun Parts Corp Numrich go to the letter N for norinco in their index.
If anyone can locate one, there used to be a drop in 38 Super barrel for the standard tokerev and standard 762x25 mags work with it.
Government is not reason, it is not eloquence — it is force. Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master; never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.

Obviously Ron is just trying to save points, I'm surprised you didn't notice that he kept another point back from the .38 Super.Bob R wrote:Curious? Did you mean to say 7.62x25?
