Recommendations for local Military Surplus - Seeking Eyewear

Post by Kinold » Mon May 27, 2013 9:38 pm

Any recommended local military surplus stores that you've patronized? Looking to pickup mil-spec protective eyewear, hopefully at a discount. TIA for useful replies.

I came across opticsplanet prior to posting here - seemed to have a good inventory.

Came across a few stories of people picking up used ESS profiles or Revision desert locusts for ~$10 at local military surplus places and then just ordering replacement lenses.

Army Surplus on Division, as you head North on Division, it is on your left, just past Jims Home Brew Supply. I believe the owner is a member of this site, I go in there a few times a year, buy MRE'S, and clothing, great prices on boots, not just mil spec, also regular leather boots.

Division is South only at that point.

oops, old habits die hard, it was a north south forever, then the division/ruby split came along, no wonder I keep getting pulled over.

What are you looking for? I have a couple pair of military issue Wiley-X glasses I'd sell or trade.
Try to look unimportant; they may be low on ammo...

I ordered some oakley ballistic 2.0 m frames off ebay
The ones that can withstand a shotgun blast at 25 yards
Came with hard case, soft case, clear and black lenses, and a cleaning kit
For $70 shipped
Just check the sellers history and make sure they provide multiple pictures
I love them
