1975 Colt Python

Post by Thumper93928 » Wed Feb 14, 2024 10:08 am

Up for sale is a real treasure of a Colt Python. This Python is 1975 vintage, 6” bright royal blue finish in factory box with all the papers. The box IS missing the one end flap but is in very good condition otherwise. What’s so special about this one you ask? Well for starters it’s been fired very very little and I mean a little (maybe 12-18 rounds). However this one bears German import marks on it. After talking with the Colt historians it seems that between 1973 and 1978 there were several Colts AND Smith & Wesson firearms bought by service members stationed in Germany from their PX or Rod and Gun Club on base and when they returned from overseas it was required that the firearms had import stamps.

This one in particular came through Munich based on the one stamp. I haven’t been able to decipher the others yet. Anyway, this needs a new home. As you see in the pictures it is in impeccable condition and current market value is ranging from $3500 up. The box alone is worth $300 bucks to a collector. Put them both together and you have a great investment. Gun is in all original condition. Trust me , you won’t be disappointed with this one. The price is $3000 cash or some form of mostly cash and trade (except Glocks). PM me for any other info.
