Glock 27 Frame Cracking?

Post by Gleng » Tue Aug 02, 2016 4:59 am

A CA agency armorer put out an email advising all firearms instructors to inspect the frames of their Glock 27's by lightly bending them to see if there is a crack. Several of their agency issued weapons had them. He highly recommended inspecting your subcompact Glock if you own one.

I would call Glock and have them run your serial number. I had a G19 that was part of a recall for the frame. I sent it in and they replaced it.

This is RLHas...
I've seen this on a few of the .40S&W pistols. Glock is fairly elusive about a cause. I'm figuring it's because of the round itself.
Glock usually is very good about taking care of this in very good time.

At least Glock does recalls on cracked frames. Too bad Beretta doesn't

Just so y'all know...
This is NOT a recall!
It's more like a "tech service bulletin" that they will act on if they find it's needed.
They are very good about it but it is at their discretion
