^^^^^

Probably will do that :)

Here is another question, why do a lot of the manufacturers claim "Our upper will cycle most subsonic and supersonic loads with a carbine length gas tube" ? I really like the Smith and Wesson MP line up and they offer a factory camo from Cheaper Than Dirt (I know blasphemy) at just under 900 bucks in M4 configuration complete with everything, that's a complete rifle not just an upper so it seems like a smoking deal to me. If it would cycle the subsonics I would just buy it outright.

I was thinking (yeah, it does happen) as I was in the shower a few minutes ago that drilling a new gas port, new gas tube, and then put an adjustable gas block over the existing port and close it would work. But the drilling of the port is beyond the tools I have. Be easier to find the barrel - Black Hole is in Moses Lake, I think. I hadn't realized that CMMG had discontinued theirs, or I had bought one to put on the shelf for a future project. I think what happened is that because the 300BLK is really a pistol cartridge, it maxes out in the 8"-11" range, most people who are buying it are going with pistol barrels and using the sig brace pistol. And where its used in a 16", it's supersonic is my guess.

Hardened Arms has 300 Blackout uppers with 16" barrel and pistol length gas system for $379 minus bcg and charging handle. Haven't had one myself but I read they are decent entry level uppers and just make sure all the parts are tight when you receive it. Here's the link https://www.hardenedarms.com/ecProduct_232_31

Dsg has a complete upper for $399 and five dollar shipping. Comes with a lot of high end parts like adjustable gas block and seekins hand rail.

I ordered stuff from them in the past and had zero problems.

According to the websites, the DSG has a carbine length gas system, but the Hardened Arms has a pistol length gas system. Under $400 for an upper, less BCG & CH seems pretty reasonable.

Try radical firearms. I just got a nice 16" upper with pistol length system for around $300.

Not a very reputable manufacturer.

U have a blackout willis? I have zero problem paying less for an upper that functions flawlessly in sub- supersonic. I provided my own bcg and ch and it runs well.
