That is sweet. I would love to shoot that.

Not that I am aware of. I am not really fond of Bump Fire Stocks. I have not used one though.

Yeah, I figured you can't get one, and it wasn't a serious question.
But the idea of a belt fed running fast sounds like a blast!

Re: M249S S.A.W.
I have not shot it yet but it probably will need a trigger job. There are probably no aftermarket triggers out there.

Re: M249S S.A.W.
You could probably improve on the trigger it already has though.
PM RLHas, he's a gun smith on here and works at firearm finishing.
I bet he could slick it up a bit.

Re: M249S S.A.W.
Its a machine gun not a precision weapon . You have your ammo belt loaded on your weapon wrong brass side is on the bottom link side up. I also dont recommend using Ar15 mags in it. I think I have a 249 para stock somewhere and some ammo pouches.

Re: M249S S.A.W.
Yea. I hand linked 20 rounds and placed them on there for the pics. Didn't really think about it. This rifle in semi auto will shoot a lot smoother and faster with a reduced trigger pull and stoned contact surfaces.
I fixed the pics.

Re: M249S S.A.W.
My SAW gunners found the 249 ran very well using Pmags. With a semi auto you shouldn't have problems using quality M16 platform mags.

Re: M249S S.A.W.
Good to know. Was told by a coworker who was in the 1st Infantry Division they did not have good luck running m16 mags but that was probably back in the 90's.

Re: M249S S.A.W.
It has more to do with the actual cyclic rate of M249 firing full auto than the mags.

Re: M249S S.A.W.
I second that XLNT advice. RLHas AKA the Glock Doc is a member on this forum and is a full tine Gunsmith who works at Firearms Finishing between Nevada and Crestline in North Spokane is both a certified Glock and smith and Wesson armorer but can work absolute MAGIC on tuning triggers on any firearm. He can give you a better trigger pull tham anything you'd get from a drop-in kit.Flawlessfoose wrote:You could probably improve on the trigger it already has though.

At Firearms Finishing they do top quality work for reasonable prices and with a fast turn-around time.
Government is not reason, it is not eloquence — it is force. Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master; never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.

Re: M249S S.A.W.
Thought I would post a pic since the transformation. I installed a para barrel with a B.E.Meyers 249F-EU flash hider. Pined makes the barrel length 16". KAC RIS rail system. New type 5 position collapsible stock. Elcan M145 M249 optic.

Looks like a good time!
It's unfortunate that so many have succumb to the propaganda and new age terrorism. Most of you believed the 2nd amendment gave teeth to our ability to fight for our rights. Now through coercion on a massive scale, you want to restrict our freedoms because of your fear.
