Yo, tuk, you need to find a place on the web to host your shots, links to your local drive won't work.
Here's my R1 after reverting to series 70 from 80, subdued bushing, adjustable trigger, and hammer.
It has always been a good shooter, but it is VERY nice now with my home made modifications...

Re: 1911 Photos
Where did you get the aftermarket checkered grip panel for the front of the grip frame? I have been wanting to get my Auto Ordinance 1911 checkered but its a lot of time without my baby, not to mention cost. That might well be the answer to my search. The Mechanic wrote:This is my AO as I bought it. I'm in the process of overhauling it, so more photos will be forthcoming.

Re: 1911 Photos
New sights on both and a flat bottom firing pin stop on the RIA. The Delta got Novaks Extreme Duty WD and the RIA got Kensight WD. Those black on black sights were just getting too hard to see.
Every time I shoot the RIA, I am more impressed, for a "cheap" gun it does everything you could ask of it.

Re: 1911 Photos
Right with you there about that RIA!! My AO cost me I think $375 brand new, and after a new barrel, it has done everything I could ever need it to do and then some. Wouldnt mind having something fancy and showy some day, but as long as the only "people" I need to impress are targets and criminals, who needs bling? Re: 1911 Photos
I'll dip my toe in these waters...custom built new Series 70 Colt stainless. Steve Morrison from Mars Armament did the Axiom package. I had him murder it out with black Cerakote. No chance for a range report yet. I got it back a day before headed back overseas.
