There are a lot of suckers and carp in long lake.

Just a heads up, I've speared fish since I was a kid in all the rivers. What you and I consider a "junk" fish can actually be a "game" fish in WA. Suckers and squaw (pike minnow :? ) are game fish and legally cannot be taken by a spear. The only fish you can leagally spear is a Carp. I haven't checked the regulations as of recent on this, but this was my understanding in the past :)
