Rock Lake
Has anyone hit Rock Lake yet this fall? Usually start going there around this time of November. Just wondering if anyone had any reports, good or bad as of yet. I will be going next weekend so I will update this and give my own report. Thanks for reading!

Re: Rock Lake
I'm assuming the discussion was in regards to the Rock Lake over south of Cheney and Turnbull, but there sure isn't any housing, let alone that many beaches there. It's kind of known for it's rock walls/cliffs.

Yes that is the Rock lake I am talking about. I wasn't sure of any housing either, but I always stay close to the launch so I wasn't sure. Have any of you that are familiar with the area ever paddled down Rock Creek into Bonnie lake? It is beautiful!
Haven't done it in years but I may need to break the old canoe out soon.

Re: Rock Lake
Only "house" on the lake is the Miller's cabin on the north side about 5 miles down the lake. Might be hitting Rock this Saturday, weather permiting. If we get to fish I'll let you know how it goes.
What makes this lake dangerous is the frequently changing wind combined with the small amount of shoreline where you could beach and get out if you had to. Unlike most other lakes around here this one is not to be triffled with if the conditions get bad.

Re: Rock Lake
Anyone know if it is ok to have a fire in a fire pit there? Going Saturday.
Re: Rock Lake
I wouldn't worry about fires, other than getting one started.
The boys and I fished there last in mid November. Caught a few steelhead while trolling. Average size was 16". We knocked them dead during the summer.
