RIP Mr. Buck. Ironically (& happily) I'll be buying the knife below tomorrow. It's a Buck 'Simonich Raven'. Been looking for a nice fixed blade for a while, now I can think of this as a tribute.

Re: RIP Chuck Buck
we quail hunt every year in Arizona with a guide who also hosted the Buck family numerous times over the years , a few years back the Buck's were leaving as we were coming in and we had a nice chat with Chuck . A few years later Buck moved to Idaho and we supplied a number on the contractors who did the building and as such we were invited to a thank you get together for all those involved , they were giving knives as presents/mementos at this soiree and though it was a very generous offering I really had no interest in a big fixed blade knife and passed them by . Chuck came by and recognized me and spoke with me about Arizona and mentioned that he noticed that I had not picked out a knife , before I could respond he went on to say that the offering wasn't really suited form quail hunters and presented me with a very nice , small, stag handle bird & trout knife . He was a prince and I pray that his family continues on in the same vein
