Who has fired one? Pros and cons? Are they worth it?

Shot one a few times. I really really wanted one until I did. Doesn't seem all that great for the cost, much prefer my modded 870 for half the price. I'm not saying they are horrible but the ejection of the shells is dumb and it kicked more then I was expecting. If they were $500-$600 maybe, but for $800+ no thank you.

Yea I've handled and shot one, extremely overpriced. It's pure kel tec quality, and I don't mean that in a good way.

I've shot one and I don't like the placement of the control for switching mags. I also don't like the fact that it's a pump and would prefer a semi-auto in the same bull-pup configuration. But it would have to have an adjustable gas port to be able to function with different kinds of ammo.

In other words, Kel-tec needs to go back to the drawing board.

Are they over priced? Yes, but so are Saigas and most other guns. Do they kick like hell? Depends on the load but yes. I got mine because they are .1 over the legal limit to be coming a short barreled shotgun. Overall I enjoy having mine.

I'm an anti Kel Tec guy. I feel they make really bad QC decisions and I have had nothing but bad experiences with them. However, I did handle (not fire) the Kel Tec KSG and really wished it was made by someone else. It felt great. It's nice and compact, and holds a ton of 2-3/4. It would be a fantastic truck gun if it was made by another manufacturer and not so steeply priced.

I have one and love it. I have also had and have several 870's. I didn't think the kick was much greater but the extra capacity and mobility of the bullpup design makes it a winner for me. As far as quality is concerned, I feel that this is just as goof of quality as any of the other guns I have owned. My Glock 22 included.

I have owned two KSG's. I traded the first one and regretted it so much I had to buy another one!
Its hands down my favorite gun! Its an awesome home defense gun, and a hoot to shoot skeet with
How can you go wrong with a 26", 15 round shotgun! And the recoil isn't any worse than an 870 with 2 3/4" shells.
The price has come down a lot in the last few months, I paid $750 for this one brand new. Of course that didn't include the Eotech, sights, RVG or the Ceracoat job :?

Short barrel shotguns are illegal in WA. The Serbu is an "aow" which is legal in WA, never came from the factory with a buttstock.

An older thread I know, and perhaps the OP has already made a decision. But I just shot mine for the first time today and just had to give my opinion.

Freaking funniest gun I have ever shot!!!

I'm NOT a Kel-Tec fan but I'm a KSG fan now.

You simply cannot compare this weapon to ANY other shotgun. It has almost nothing in common with them. If you get this gun and don't like it....then you had no idea what you where after. You have to man-up and shoot this weapon like it was ment to be shot. It kicks the he'll out of you like a real weapon with real loads should! Put in light loads and your girly shoulder can handle it just fine.

Rack the thing like your pissed at it, not like your stroking your ----.

My 14 year old son put 100 rounds through it no problem. I put another 100 down range with zero FTF or FTE.

Zombie hunting, home defense, bear defense in the woods, hella fun at the range, behind the truck seat weapon........that's what this thing does and does well. Anything else you need to shop accordingly.

I finally have a gun in the stable that gives me that thrill I had during my childhood outings. Lots of noise, destruction, and a bit of a feeling like I'm doing something I could get in trouble for.

Love it!
