Check out Bull Hill Ranch. It's not exactly in the area but only about an hour and a half drive. Dan Litzenberger is the lead instructor up there. He is a retired Army Ranger and Sniper. He is extremely knowledgeable and can teach you a lot. He helped me hit targets out to a mile my first time trying long range shooting. http://bullhilltraining.com

All jokes aside (and the militia is full of losers)...

I wanted to learn the art of long range shooting about 6 years ago...I bought a good rifle and scope and went to the range.

I made many mistakes, took advise from the REAL shooters on the line...Ignored people who THINK they know what there talking about...Validated and researched the advise I got, and spent lots and lots of money...(by the way, I have made friends and connections with some truly AMAZING shooters)

Study, learn, spend, build...Buy once, cry once...Learn what gear and equipment real shooters use...

Most importantly...After you have done the above...Many people will tell you how to do it and what to buy...Most of them will be losers with $200 rifles and $20 scopes that can't hit S--T!!!

You will learn who they are over time and with experience and (if you have a brain) you will laugh in there face and tell them how stupid they are...
