Marlin 336W

Are these new marlins up to par yet? I've heard multiple stories of them being better and worse. I really want to get my first lever gun and I think a 336 is the way to go. However I don't want to buy one if it's junk. Any thoughts?

According to the talk on http://www.marlinowners.com Remington has got their act together and are doing a much better job building these rifles. That being said, hit the pawn shops and dealers like Northwest Collector's who sell used guns and you should find JM 336's out there. Also I see several at the local gunshows.

Thanks hatchdog! I've been snooping around for one at the pawn shops around town, however there is such a limited supply of them. 2 or 3 marlins maybe. Maybe I just need to look a little harder ;)
