Smith And Wesson MP Assembly/Disassembly

Post by EWU92 » Sun Dec 24, 2017 9:10 pm

Full size MP9.....Just bought one and can't break it down. Not only that but now I am half way inbetween and can't get it back together. Just basic field stripping. I have owned one other previously and had the same issue. Watched several you tube vids and still not getting it. The sear disconnect is pressed fully down until it is protruding into the mag well just as illustrated while the take down lever is flipped down and the slide won't come off. So I decide to just throw in the towel and now the sear disconnect won't redeploy to it's original position. I have been careful not to bend or force anything.

I tear mine down (.45) the way you do a Glock. I leave the sear disconnect alone and just pull the trigger to release the slide (gun unloaded of course). :)
