I found out a couple of years ago that an old friend of mine, (he's as old as I am) who lives in Rogue River Oregon had known John Noveske's father for many years and knew John Noveske since he was 12 years old. He was really shaken up by John's death and was at the funeral after John Noveske was killed which was attended by many who had known him. My old friend owns guns but was never into AR's but appreciated the workmanship and innovation that went into John Noveske's guns and visited his shop quite often. Here's a video of Noveske's shop in 2011 2 years before Noveske died. My friend did not film the video. It was done by Noveske himself and is on youtube.JeremyD wrote:Just Got my little Noveske Gen 3 Recon pistol done

Government is not reason, it is not eloquence — it is force. Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master; never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.

Got this in a trade from another member here. Fiddled with it a little. Added a cleaned up 2-stage trigger and a Strike Industries foregrip thingy and a better pistol grip.
Now I have to decide between building another rifle, pistol or a form 1 9mm SBR...

Re: Lets see some local Ar15 Porn!
Thought I'd jump on this bandwagon. Aero Precision M5E1 homebuild. 18" 308 with the aimpoint (I know... still need the buis but I mount at 1.2" and the troy micros are pricey). I have a 16" 6.5 creedmoor with a Mark 4 4.5-14 TSX-32 mounted on the lower... Geissele SSA-E trigger. I haven't been able to take the 6.5 out to the range yet, but it should keep me about even with a 22" 308 for long range and in a handier package. We'll see how she runs.
A "whiz" means you're generally disliked. A crack means its personal... A 107mm rocket means you shouldn't have worn flip flops...
Always interested in trading for 1898 Krag or Win 67 type single shot 22 rifles.
Texting is not a good option to make a deal with me. Please use the PMs only. Thanks.
Prefer to meet at Fred Meyer at Freya/I-90 for Non-Firearm Sales.

How do you like the TS32 reticle on your MK4?C13A wrote:Thought I'd jump on this bandwagon. Re: Lets see some local Ar15 Porn!
I think I am going to like it. Like I said, I haven't had it at the range yet, but I am enjoying the idea of having matching moa/moa on a scope instead of my normal mildot/tmr reticle with moa turrets. The hold overs and windage dots may not have extreme precision, but will have enough for most practical purposes past punching paper. If I can find a bullet/load that stays stable when it passes into subsonic, this reticle may even help me stretch its legs a lot further using the reticle while maxing the turret. Well, that's a fun idea anyways, but realistically most of my shooting will stay 700yd and in.ninjassassin wrote: How do you like the TS32 reticle on your MK4?

Re: Lets see some local Ar15 Porn!
I've never been able to use a nightforce, but I had good experiences with mk4's. My budget was only enough for some of the SFP Vortex's until I found this new from a retailer for $700 after their sale and a coupon. I would have preferred 3.5-10x but this was the only model with such a significant price drop and still fit my needs. For the scope, the eye relief is interesting. I am having a hard time finding the sweet spot that works for both low and high powers. I'll figure it out, but I don't remember this with as much of a difference on my other scopes.

Re: Lets see some local Ar15 Porn!
If you don't mind I'd like to take a look through your scope sometime. That was the scope I was going to get then I bought a NF. I started with a MK4 3.5-10 sold that to try a Vortex in FFP. Didn't like FFP and then switched to a SFP NF. I'm still thinking about switching back to a MK4 4.5-14 with the TS32 reticle.

Built this through PSA over 6 months during sales for $439. Not including the red dot, riser or fore grip. I know you can get much more expensive rifles but I have NEVER had a malfunction with mine and I love the looks of it.

TWIN SONS OF DIFFERENT MOTHERS!
Both are Rock River AR's wearing Vortex Viper HST 4-16x44 optics. On the left and the top single pic is a RRA LAR 8 .308 Predator HP 20" heavy barrel and on the right and bottom single pic is a RRA LAR 15 which started out in life as a carbine. Rick Hastings re-barreled it and replaced the front sight with a low profile gas block and it now sports a free floated 1/8 20" heavy barrel.
