Re: PC'ed Bullets in the Hi Point 45 Carbine
That looks great. What distance were you shooting? You've got me intrigued enough to give this a try. I've got everything I need to get started PC-ing some bullets except the sizer. Gonna ask Santa for that ;) I know you're tumble-coating them from the other thread. One question for you. How are yo...

Re: So now what?
...the increased demand from the public is what drove up prices and created shortages. Even with many manufacturers increasing their capacities by two and three fold, the demand for guns and ammo has been unprecedented. People that didn't own a gun, rushed out to buy one...or two. Guys that bought ...

Re: So now what?
That is WEIRD, because I used to buy boxes of Stingers and Mini-mags at the hardware store in the little town nearest my grandparent's Missouri farm as a young teen.Call Turner wrote:I remember signing a book for 22lr at both the WE and Sportsman's Surplus.
I sure don't recall any ammo log books...

Re: So now what?
In the past California had a law that required all ammo sales to be recorded and signed for, the log sheets were turned in and warehoused. These forms were IMHO useless. Eventually that system was eliminated. During the time that system was in use many of the competitive shooters simply bought in b...

Re: Gun Show At Spokane Fairgrounds This Weekend.... Dec. 3 & 4
Just got back from the show. Didn't buy much - just a magazine floor plate and two reloading press shellholders. Including my admission the total cost was $16 - just a little more than the price of one of the shellholders. Plus I got to spend an hour and a half looking at guns and talking to other g...

Re: Gun Show At Spokane Fairgrounds This Weekend.... Dec. 3 & 4
Despite the happy news of the election, I'll still be going. I almost always find enough bargains to make it worth the price up admission, and even when I don't it's still cheaper and more entertaining than a movie...

Re: Deer Park / Boggs range
This seems like a good idea - but how easy are they to conceal? If you could mount a camera on one of the trees up on the high banks (where it would be hard to spot) and still have it focused at the gate area - so that you could clearly see faces and license plates, that would work. But if one of th...

Re: whats up with measure 1491 ?
We need to get rid of the initiative process, too many clueless/ignorant people voting 'yes' because it 'feels' good. Absolutely! Totally agree! Agreed! This initiative process is just an end run around our representative government with unchecked pure democracy. This is very bad policy. Its legisl...

Re: Automatic powder charger
RCBS, Lyman, Hornady, etc What is the best one? Pros and cons of each... I load a few rifle calibers and 44mag on a single stage RCBS. FWIW I use and really like my Lee Auto DRUM (a lot better than the old Auto DISK). Easily adjustable, accurate, throws any size charges (comes with large & small dr...

Re: Help with a Marlin Model 60?
I would second taking it to RLHas (Rick) at Firearm Finishing.
They did a great job on a rifle of mine that wasn't working right and the cost was extremely reasonable.
Great guys that do great work at great prices. You won't regret it if you take it to them.

Many of the S&W's that have been skyrocketing in "value" as collectibles have been doing so due to S&W discontinuing / limiting the production of "classic" models in recent years. For those of us that remember the masses of police and security revolvers being dumped on the market and are now seeing...

Re: So now what?
It's an interesting assertion that collectible guns pricing has tripled in the last eight years , having spent most of the last 30 years in that business the high point we saw in our segment of the market was in 2008 and it seems to me that we are 20% below the numbers we achieved then . It has not...

Re: So now what?
So you guys don't think all the panic buying an hoarding has driven the prices up - and that less of the same might result in downward price pressure? My thought was that hoarding was driving shortages and higher demand/prices for ammo, reloading stuff, and current production guns. Likewise, I was t...

Since the anti-2nd Amendment witchie-poo got handed her walking papers, what do you expect to happen to the guns/ammo/reloading market? Are all the folks who've tied up large amounts of money in this stuff over the last 8 years under BHO, and/or in anticipation of a HRC victory going to be dumping a...

Re: Old Smiths
I just got home from a play day at my buddy's house (76 acres with a private range). I took along the 19, the 1950 target, my 29-3 Classic Hunter, an M60 J-frame, a couple of 22s, and a little TP25 I picked up recently. He was shooting his Gluck 26, and Ruger MkIII. We had a lot of fun and went thro...
