Re: Coyote Scope setup?
Thanks for the link. It looks like a pretty nice setup! My bro has a redfield that is pretty nice. 4x12. It seems really clear.

Coyote Scope setup?
Wondering what the opinions are regarding a good coyote scope setup? I'm planning on using it on an AR platform. I've been out a few times in the plains of Eastern WA. One of the places I am going has some serious range. I could see one coyote across the canyon at 600+yds. Obviously, the .223 isn't ...

Re: Spokane Rally 12/20/14
Deos anyone know if Matt Shea will be there? If there were to be a speaker it seems like he is the best guy for the job! Also, I was told that the State capital rally included the buying and selling of firearms. IMO this type of rally (Spokane) is bunk if there isn't some teeth to it, i.e. people bu...

Disadvantages of Glock Grip Reduction
I was wondering it there are any opinions on the disadvantages of grip reductions on Glocks. I realize it might resale value… I'm uninterested in that aspect, but rather on the possible negative aspects to the durability, hardiness, etc… Does is effect the frame? (Especially when considering the 10m...

I.O. INC Ak Opinions?
Does anyone here have experience with I.O. Inc Ak's? Previously I had heard of issues with them. However, a few reviews I read recently said they were quite nice. Does it depend on when they were made? Or is it just typical internet garbage that "anything not russian (Or bulgarian/etc...) is trash" ...

Re: The quest for the ultimate magnum
It's funny that you bring that up... I think we're thinking the same way! I was actually keeping a look out for a Smith 686 Plus model! I would love to get a chance to play with one, but for now I think I'll focus on getting the g20 (If I can find one). I prefer private sell for a few reasons, some ...

Re: Gen 4: who like's em, who doesn't, and why?
I don't have any experience with gen 3 except that I held one for a while. It was my wife who got me into glocks, ironically enough. We went and held the gen 3's and absolutely hated the feel! But when we picked up the gen 4 g19, we just "felt" it. My wife can't seem to find her groove with any hand...

Re: The quest for the ultimate magnum
I wanted to ask you Ron if you have ventured into the 40 super yet? Is it something you are still kicking around? I have to agree with you about the buffalo bore hardcast ammo. I am still in the hunt for a g20 gen 4 that I can pack while I'm in the backcountry. Having one would ease my wife's mind s...

Re: WASR Bolt can rest in the "half" position
Thanks for the feedback (From most of you :) It appears to be just fine. I'm not worried after looking into it. I've never experienced the "gun snob" guy before. I believe it to be related to ignorance...? As I have learned, the weapon (In and of itself) is really not that important, but rather the ...

Re: Ar 15 vs. bear
This topic made me think of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=547BKysByqM It basically shows some penetration testing against a tree. When I watched this video, I was really quite shocked! It made me really start thinking about the 5.45 caliber. Obviously, I would rather have a semi-auto ....

Future Russian Ammo Import Restrictions???
I was wondering what the fellow SGT members thoughts are on the likelihood of a russian ammo import restriction happening in the near future? Since the Obummer exec order stop the import of the russian variant AK's, it seems natural that they would target the ammo too. Or am I missing something? I'm...

Re: WASR Bolt can rest in the "half" position
Awesome! Thanks guys! After reading this and talking with a friend, I believe it just needs to be broken in. Seems reasonable. I guess that's my excuse for getting out more! By the way regular guy, I also own one of the nicest AK's you can get imo (Arsenal). I think the well put together wasr that I...

Re: Glock 20 Mags used for .40 S&W & .357 Sig
I agree with you ron that I will need to do some focused practice with the 10mm cartridge. We currently use our beloved Glock 19's. And I have some practice with the .40 in a S&W (But my wife hates the gun itself). It seems like the 10mm is the way to go for the all around comfort factor when we tra...

WASR Bolt can rest in the "half" position
I picked up a wasr recently that if you release the bolt slowly, it will catch just enough to stop and rest right before the magazine. If you pull the bolt all the way back and let it slam home, it will do so without catching, it only catches and holds if you release it slowly. I have a saiga that d...

Re: Glock 20 Mags used for .40 S&W & .357 Sig
All of that makes sense. With the .357sig and the .40 being so close, it only really makes sense to get both barrels if I wanted a multitude of ammo availability options. My whole thought was having standardized magazines for saving on cost and making it simple. This is probably a very stupid questi...

Re: Glock 20 Mags used for .40 S&W & .357 Sig
I have seen a video that was rather convincing about the .40 fired out of the Glock 20 factory barrel with reliable performance. Do you happen to know of any other combinations that one could use with any Glock model? Like: Could the Glock 21 .45ACP mags be used with any other combo? My idea was to ...

Glock 20 Mags used for .40 S&W & .357 Sig
Does anybody have any knowledge regarding using the Glock 20 and then using the 10mm mags for .40S&W & .357Sig? My Idea was to Buy a Glock 20, then purchase lone wolf or stock Glock barrels for the 40 & 357 Sig and use the standard Glock 20 10mm mags. My understanding is that the 40 S&W is a shorter...
