The main issue I'm running into, is that FDE (flat dark earth) seems to photograph very differently, depending on lighting conditions, etc. I've yet to see any in person.

I realize there will never be a one-size-fits-all color for the PNW... unfortunately. I'm thinking FDE. It's not so bright as to stick out at lowlight, and yet it will be somewhat blended whether in urban, desert, prairie, or woods. Anyone have any experience with Flat Dark Earth?

Best Magpul color for the PNW?
I'm about to build my first AR, and I will be going with Magpul MOE furniture for now. What color do y'all prefer for the PNW? I don't want black, but I'm really torn between the other three! Anyone have any suggestions/pics?

Thanks to Bladebum for helping me out on this! Looks like the book value is 850 - 1000. The ribbed models are worth twice that.
