Re: Glock mos slides
Might try GlockStore.com, if they don’t have it on the site, give them a call, they’ve always been super helpful. Having said that, I put a red dot on last year, if I’d have known the rabbit hole I was going down with getting the slide milled, I would have just bought an MOS gun. Cost me $150 for th...

Lower receivers
Saw a post on Facebook from sharp shooters that lowers weren’t going to be purchasable after July 1. The operating theory is that there’s “rifle” and “pistol” on the form but no “other firearm”. Anybody know anything about this?

Re: Rmr cut
I emailed them and they said that’s just how it was designed. But it still makes me nervous, leading back to the original question of conversion plates and experience with the trijicon

Rmr cut
So, I got my slide milled for a vortex viper. I’m a bit unimpressed with it, the adjustment screws seem to just spin, regardless of if they’re locked by the lock screws. Addition to that, the windage/elevation screws just turn, no click, nothing definitive, feels sloppy. 2 things. Anybody have exper...

Re: Competitive shooting locally?
Windy plains drifters does SASS in medical lake.
Center target sports has an IDPA league on the first and second Sunday of the month.
I think sharp shooting has an IDPA league but don’t quote me. I know they host GSSF matches from time to time.

Magazine registration and other crackpot ideas
http://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?Year=2017&BillNumber=5444 Attorney General Bob is wanting enhanced background checks (which I thought we already did) and registration of any magazine over 10 rounds. Because they’re definitely not using that registry for anything bad. Anyhow, follow the link, takes...

Re: My G19 project...
Honestly, there is no need to comp a 9mm Glock. It’s just more gadgetry that for some reason is really popular. Now what would be really trick is to get a Trijicon RMR or Leupold Deltapoint Pro and get your slide milled. I’ve got a Glock 22C at Jagerweks being milled and mounting my Trij RMR. Sure ...

Re: Undergunned?
You are however you feel. 10+ years ago I carried my trusty 442 as a backup because a more experienced guy told me to. Time went on, I got into some harrowing situations that gave me pause for thought. Started digging around and doing some shopping and realized that my full sized mags would fit nice...

1387 WA assault weapons ban back on the table!
Got an email that this had been reintroduced in the special session. Here it is. http://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillNumber=1387&Year=2017 Send a comment, takes seconds. It was explained to me that an email equals 100 voters feeling the same way, phone calls were 500, and showing up in person was ...

Re: Ported Barrel for G21SF
The 4 ports are further back on the barrel and directly pointed at the front sight. Lone wolf doesn't tell you this in the description, then treats you like an idiot because you should have known that you can only run a brass bead front sight with their barrels. Then they'll dick you around on a ref...

Re: Commander Recoil Spring Weight
It's a heavier spring because it's a lighter slide. The recoil spring essentially has two functions, 1. It returns the slide to battery, assisting with stripping the next round off the magazine. 2. Softens the blow to the frame when the slide reaches full rear position. So, the same amount of power ...

Re: Why a 1911 needs a rail on the dust cover
I never bought into the sweeping argument. Low ready/position sol with a light on casts enough light that you can pick up whether you need to be directing light and consequently the muzzle AT the whatever. While I'll agree that not everyone needs a weapon mounted light, it's an excellent thing for c...

Re: Why a 1911 needs a rail on the dust cover
There have been a number of changes that John Moses Browning didn't include in the original design. We also don't shoot one hand on hip anymore. Putting a light on any defensive firearm is super handy.

Re: Gen 3 Glock 34 2 pin
During routine cleaning, inspect the frame for cracks (particularly on the shooter side of the locking block.) Other than that, should be ok. I've never had a problem with my 2 pin 17, which is basically a short 34.
