Re: How is glock service on whole gun replacement

I remember reading something about shooting lead or hard cast lead bullets out of Glock and how a lead build up in the barrel can cause out of battery detonations. Might have been in armorer classes or from one of the books on Glock. Sorry I cant help more, might be a direction to look.

Re: Rmr cut

Ive got 2 RMR06, 1 type 1 and 1 type 2. Both are rock solid. Holds zero, can take a beating, and had a very distinct click when you adjust windage or elevation. Dont get me wrong, I love vortex, but they are built for hunting and commercial applications. Trijicon is built for combat.

Re: 80% Build

Ive done 4 polymer 80 Glocks. They are really easy. Go with the gen 2 frames. I did my last few with a vise, a hand drill, a dremel, some files, and sand paper.

Re: 19X

Ive been carrying mine around concealed without issue. Maybe a different story in the summer.

The gen 5 trigger is really nice. Feels smoother with a crisper break.

19X

Anyone else get to play with a 19X? So far I'm a big fan. I wasn't excited when I heard about it, then I held one and had to have it. Once I shot it I fell in love. Just wish it came in 45.

Re: Got my first deer... advice on what to do with skull

You can do your own European mount in about 4 hours. Skin the head. Bring a large pot to a boil, add dawn dish soap and borax. Boil for 15 to 30 minutes, make sure the antlers are above water. Scrap off the meat and flesh and break up brain, then boil again. Repeat until you are happy. Watch the nos...

Re: Gen 5 glocks released

I don't think the ambi slide stop lever is meant to be used to improve lefty's releasing the slide (considering the part is not designed or trained to be used as a slide release), its so lefty's have an easier time locking the slide to the rear during manipulations. I just got my Gen 5 19. Trigger i...

Looking at Glocks Annual magazine from this year a Glock 17 MSRP is $599 and a Glock 17 Gen 4 MSRP is $649.

Re: Gen 5 glocks released

For years Glock has been talking about how wonderful and reliable their polygonal rifling was, now they have abandoned that. Unless you are a lefty I don't see how the small changes justify a price bump. The trigger was NOT better, I didn't like it at all. Prices are going to be very close to a Gen...

Re: Glock 17 Gen 1 buy or dont buy price is 475.00

Ive purchased 3 gen 1 Glock 17's online and none of them cost $300.00. They all start around $400.00 for a beat up one. I watched the market for 2 years and a gen 1 Glock 17 in good shape goes for around $600.00 with really nice ones going for $700.00 to $800.00. Of course there are anomalies here a...

Snowman

Recently had a deal with Snowman, good guy, quick communication, prompt to meet. After deal was made, Snowman found a potential flaw in the gun, and made sure I had the info before we met. Stand up guy, deal in confidence.
