Re: Boggs pit?
There were some public spots out the Spring Valley Road area, but unknown if they were burned away or not. I plan to do some recon this spring.

Re: which 10mm for WA.
I'm saving for a 10mm DW Razorback or Guardian, but these are pretty fancy/expensive for what you're looking to do.

Re: Firearms seized by law enforcement
If you don't have a record/paperwork listing the seized assets, and the county doesn't, I think you're SOL. It doesn't matter that you had no power to stop or delay the seizure until the proper paperwork was provided. You reached out to one lawyer who stated it wasn't his or her area of expertise? Y...

Re: 1920 Colt New Service in 45 Long Colt
Very handsome New Service. If, for some reason, you decide to part with it I'd be interested. But I recommend you keep it as it's still perfectly viable for most handgun uses. Much older black powder only guns are not. If you want to baby it, lead bullet cowboy loads are your best bet. I would avoid...

Re: Like preparedness / apocalyptic fiction? You'll probably like...
Correct --- the new book is not free, but the first two are. I'd rather price it low and garner interest vs. charging 6-7 bucks and having someone shrug their shoulders and not get it. Then there are the $0.99 Kindle books that make me wonder if they're real or not...

Re: Like preparedness / apocalyptic fiction? You'll probably like...
Thanks hatchdog. I've found that the number of people willing to invest in a trilogy of this length is small, but they're very appreciative. For those that don't already have both of the first two books, the Kindle version is free through the 17th: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QBV58LK Please do shar...

Re: Like preparedness / apocalyptic fiction? You'll probably like...
This is the third and final book of my trilogy. Thanks to everyone on SGT for all of the support (and patience) over the last few years! I originally had my sights on Spring '22 but that's ancient history now. I could give lots of excuses, but buy the book and I talk about it a little in the forewor...

Re: Black talon
Black Talons were pretty spectacular...30 years ago. They're a neat collectible now, but as stated above, there's lots of equally or more effective loadings. And, as always, placement > bullet construction every time.

Awesome! My then 14yo girl took her first last year with her Weatherby 7mm-08 (that I bought right here on SGT). We haven't been home most of the weekend but will most likely hit it hard once Youth season actually opens here.

"What?! No way!"

Good work! My 14yo daughter got her first (a nice big doe) last month with a 7mm-08 I bought right here on SGT.

Totally normal in a revolver. If you don't want it to look like that, never swing open the cylinder. Makes shooting it difficult though.

Re: 350 Legend lever gun
It's not the flat point, it's the autoloader type rim. It's why you don't see lever guns in 9mm, .45ACP, etc even though those short cartridges would be pretty handy in a tube-fed lever gun.

Re: 350 Legend lever gun
It would have to be a non-tube fed gun like the Browning BLR or Henry Long Ranger. My bet is Henry will make one eventually as they already do with their single shot, but so far no. Browning chambers the BLR in .358 Win (a much better .35 round) and has never shown much interest in accommodating str...

Even .40 180gr is considerably quieter, and at 950fps is almost there ballistically. I've shot some 9mm subs but the ammo is very hard to find. Nice thing about .45 and .40 is the subsonic ammo is very common (though not intended to be suppressor ammo, it's just big and slow). And yeah, 9mm sub is ...
