Re: POST FALLS SHOW THIS WEEKEND....AGAIN

Opinions vary. If you're looking for cheap ammo or guns, you'll probably be disappointed - though now and then you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you are looking for a couple of hours entertainment and keep a sharp eye open you will often find deals on parts/accessories/reloading tools/etc. that mak...

Re: City council wants to destroy decommissioned police firearms

OK. so Seattle says let's spend $10k-$20k (guesstimate) to destroy guns we could have sold to legitimate FFL holder owned businesses for $30k. So we'll flush $40k-$50k worth of tax revenue so that, what? An ex cop gun doesn't get stolen from some law abiding citizen and used in a crime? And they som...

Re: Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Major Concealed Handgun Case

Note who is bringing the lawsuit to the SCOTUS. According to the article it is none other than... the NRA! Of course if it doesn't turn out the way we want, some gun owners will blame the NRA for that. The point is, despite what the media may say, and despite any issues within the leadership, the N...

Re: AR15s as "weapons of war"

I guess my point wasn't clear enough. YES, the anti-2A crowd is lying and smearing gun owners and demonizing certain weapons. BUT does that make it OK for people on OUR side to adopt their lying terminology - which helps THEIR cause - not OURS? I don't think so. I don't think we should concede to th...

Re: CDA Fairgrounds show by Lewis & Clark

I missed Smitty's post, but I went to the show this past Saturday. I have to say it was the most disappointing show I have seen at the Greyhound Park. Everything was out of sight HIGH in price. The only thing I found to buy at a reasonable price was a IWB holster for a Colt Vestpocket 25ACP that I g...

AR15s as "weapons of war"

As we all know those who want to take our Second Amendment rights are pushing hard to outlaw our AR-15 rifles. Actually they want to outlaw any and all semi-auto magazine-fed rifles, but they are starting with going after the AR-15s. One of the ways they are seeking to demonize these common weapons ...

Re: Anything to make Wayne a buck

Here's the text of an emailI just got from the GOA Your God-given rights are under attack. Accompanied by their Attorney General Merrick Garland, both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris unveiled executive actions to institute Red Flag Gun Grabs and target brace-equipped firearms and so-called “ghost guns” ...

Re: Quit paying the panic tax

I agree 100%, though I think you are mostly preaching to the choir. I can understand new shooters paying the ridiculous prices, and same for the folks who didn't learn from the last shortage and stock up. Both are faced with the choice of pay the stupid prices or do without. At some point the majori...

Re: Anything to make Wayne a buck

What's the inaccuracy? Aside from the fact that Biden didn't nominate Chapman to lead the ATF....he nominated him for the AFT! There is one inaccuracy. It says Executive ORDERS instead of Executive ACTIONS. But I think the whole point of starting this thread was yet another rant against the NRA. So...

Re: Anything to make Wayne a buck

Despite the unwanted membership solicitation, all the stuff referenced in the email represents a danger to our 2nd Amendment rights. For anyone who wasn't already aware of it all, the email informing them could be seen as a public service for our side. If it raises awareness of some of the less info...

Re: What is the correct way to clean a revolver?

CheapJeep I think that's a carryover from rifle cleaning and fear of damaging the crown. I clean my wheel guns from the muzzle with no issue, use a pistol cleaning rod with the muzzle guide adapter, go slow, and no reason to fear the process. There are those who, when cleaning a rifle, refuse to pu...

Re: What is the correct way to clean a revolver?

I've seen a lot of people say to avoid running anything through the bore backwards (muzzle to chamber/forcing cone) BUT what I've never seen is any kind of explanation WHY?

Re: Executive orders of gun control slated for 4/8/21

So basically he is ASKING (not ordering) the DOJ and Congress to do some things that he knows would be struck down in court if HE did them by EO. I'd have to agree with 257ROBERT's assessment - he is following in the footsteps of his mentor, who was HUGELY unsuccessful in trying to impose any new gu...

Well here they come. Looks like the main target is requiring background checks on "ghost guns", but obviously we don't know what all they will include. We shall see. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-guns-analysis/analysis-biden-white-house-tries-to-craft-gun-executive-orders-that-cant-be-undo...

Yeah, 80 cents a round for 00 buckshot sounds pretty good.
I recently bought some for $1.25 a round and thought I did OK.

Re: 12 gauge ammo value

Well, FWIW, he advertised it for sale - 3 boxes (minus 5 rounds) for $30 - and I bought it :D Turns out it was two boxes of #7-1/2 (45 rounds) and one box of #5 (25 rounds) - all high brass field/target loads. I figured $10 a box for any 12ga shells is pretty reasonable right now. :D Yeah I just li...

Re: 12 gauge ammo value

what is a good price for 12 gauge 2-3/4 general use stuff What size shot are you looking for? Big variance in 7 1/2's to #2's to Buckshot. I guess I should clarify my answer above. I took the phrase "general use stuff" to be #4-#8 shot. I don't think most people would include #2 and 00 and slugs in...
