Re: Boggs pit?
I am convinced they closed boggs soley because of the developer who bought that to the south. It was the owner to the north. Put a well in for “future development” according to the dnr guy i spoke with via email Sounds like a repeat of Stone Lodge and its closure. I suspect that DNR will use any ex...

Couldn’t agree more and I changed “likely” to “rightfully”.deerbandit wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 6:45 amLesson to be learned is cooperate with the Police, and definitely don’t point or fire a gun at them. You likely (rightfully) will end up dead.

Re: Hard Cast dimensions?
No testing yet but on Sunday I’m planning on shooting the G9 for function in my CZ-75. I sold my 10mm so I’m trying to up the ante with my high cap 9mm. I did read lots of testimony online about the effectiveness of the G9 Woodsman. I saw a video of a guy shooting it into a pig carcass and the dest...

Home (kinda) range
With the Spokane Rifle Club doubling the dues and the closure of Boggs Pit I decided to put in a simple shooting range at our property up north. It is a 90 minute drive for me which isn’t too convient but not horrible as it was a nearly 60 minute drive to the rifle club for me. We do spend time up t...

Re: Electronic scale and powder dispenser question
Do you run them across the beam scale after you drop them? nope they are extremely uniform charges. Many times my standard deviation is single digit. When using Accurate #9C in a very old Hollywood measure it would get behind the drum and gum it up something fierce, probably like your measure was do...

Re: Hard Cast dimensions?
Always perform a "Plunk Test" when loading cast for autos before loading up a bunch of cartridges! Most Casters go .001" over but I have found in some of my 1911 45's, going .001" over is too tight for the chamber and the bullet prevents Full Battery. So I have to size those to .451" to function pr...

I heard an interesting comment on a conservative news channel yesterday.

Re: Electronic scale and powder dispenser question
I’ve used my RCBS Chargemaster with 296 for hundreds of rounds and have had great success. I originally bought a Lyman dispenser and it had lots of issues. Thankfully I bought it from Sportsman’s Warehouse and they gave me a full refund.

Re: Hard Cast dimensions?
Hard for me to give a sincere response as I’m currently switching from my long carried hard cast to the G9 Woodsman. I think the new technology will eventually capture most of us old farts.

Re: Boggs pit?
I believe we are down to the area near Fishtrap only. Can’t give you any directions as it’s been since the early days of Spokane Guntrader that I’ve been there. Sadly right when Boggs closed the Spokane Rifle Club decided to raise the membership fee. It’s pretty lean out there. Another option is the...

So I was barrrrrly able to pry the money out of my wallet for those G9 woodsman 124grn + p ammo that got me to thinking would fmj flat points be just as effective what do you guys think Thankfully I was to trade into three boxes of the Woodsman. I look at it this way, once my pistol shows that it w...

Re: Is reloading even cost effective now?
Depends on whether ammo prices skyrocket including the discussed 11% tax on ammo. Like you I probably have enough components to last my lifetime particularly since I don’t shoot as much as I used to. Another consideration is of course loading for accuracy particularly long range rifle shooting. I gu...

Re: 9mm in the woods
Recently sold my 10mm and in the future I plan to carry my CZ 75 with the G9 Woodsman ammo. Haven’t shot the G9 yet for accuracy/reliability but I expect it to do well.
