Re: 1911 RIA in 10mm or another 10mm

I have a RIA 10mm (1911) and it runs like a top. Accurate also. I originally bought a RIA in 45 and liked it so much I went and got the 10MM. Trigger and mainspring housing is plastic but have not given any issues up to the point. I did take the magwell off and filed a small bevel in the magwell ins...

Re: Shooting range

Bob, I live less than a mile from there and have only been able to point a finger 1 time that worked. Other times I have handed the county commissioners and the sheriff dept evidence that did no good. Our DNR cop is overwhelmed with too much territory . That's why so much State land gets locked up....

Re: Shooting range

Are you willing to sign a complaint? Are you willing to go to court? Feel safe taking pictures? Know how to write down a plate number? If yes to the first two and the last one and you witness someone dragging this stuff up there call the tree cops (DNR LEO) and I believe he can use your info to go t...

First thing I would do is take the bolt out, inspect it and then disassemble it and clean it really well. It sounds like the firing pin may be getting stuck forward.

Re: 1639 Repeal Effort (We need 300,000 signatures)

The way I understand it is a legislative initiative can be done right away, an initiative to the people can't be done for two years. This way it gets in front of the legislature, not passed and then to the people at the next general election.

Re: HB 1465 - Pistol Transfers and CPL Holders - July 1st

Back in the day, 1980’s that is, all handgun purchase back round checks were handled by the local police chief or sheriff. There was a three day wait and as a dealer if you did not hear back from the police within the three days you could release the handgun to the buyer. I’m sure this will have no...

Re: Buck Knives Father's Day Sale

I picked up an assisted opener and a cutlery set with Rosewood handles, looks really nice. I would have bought a 110 auto but they don't make them for lefties. I mentioned that and one of the engineers, who happens to be a lefty said they should look into that. It would be nice. ;)

The amount of use an area gets has nothing to do with whether or not it gets shut down. Being a mess helps TPTB to make a decision, which is why cleaning up is so important.

Nothing to see here, she pulls this out of the closet and dusts it off at the beginning of every new session of Congress. It goes nowhere and then get locked away until the next time.

Who didn't see this one coming? It was a done deal as soon as the Feds said they were considering it. I guess we should flood the ATF with looped shoe strings also. ;)

Re: 40 S&W good enough?

I am always concerned about cougars, and I think a .40 is adequate for them, and since I’m on in age they havent been a problem, but we’re I a twenties something young man, I would be very weary of cougars... You said a mouthful there, if I had a cougar chasing me now I know I could outrun it becau...

There is a reason it’s the choice of most Fed and Local LE agencies.
Why would that be?

Re: Initiative 1639 update

Unlike I-594 it seems that the NRA is stepping up this time with money and materials. It is a nice change from 594. My question is; Who is running this locally? Robin? Are there any plane for freeway demonstrations or other rallies anywhere? Is there a local No on I-1639 site? I think standing on Br...

I was at Sharp Shooting yesterday (10/7) and they had very few signs left (maybe 4 or 5) and no metal legs for them. Also out of bumper stickers. Hopefully they will get some more in soon.

Nice pistol ! I can also see why the Colt .45 was called the equalizer ! Deadly pistol..... I think the 45 Colt is a very under rated round. I have a S&W 25-5 that I shoot 255gr hardcast semi wad cutters out of over a load 10 gr of HS6 and get around 900fps. Big and slow, I think that bullet would ...

Re: M1A cheek riser

See if you can find a photo of an IDF Sniper version of the M1A. The stock is butt ugly but very functional. You would probably need another stock to make the comb from and depending on whether or not you wanted to make it removable something to screw the comb into embedded in the stock. If you want...
