Re: HB 1073 / SB 5061 "Ghost Guns"
The final substitute bill that passed was 1739 which banned guns with less than 3.7 oz of detectable metal (all plastic 3d printed type guns) manufactured after 07/01. It does not ban the manufacture or possession of the traditional homemade "untraceable" guns (80%s). It prohibits aiding a prohibite...

Re: WA AWB Links to SB5050, HB1134, HB1387
1122 went to the house as a watered down version removing the penalty for someone breaking into your home, stealing your gun and committing a crime with it, but leaving the penalty for a child within your home getting your gun and causing injury or death with it. Still bad as it could add charges to...

Re: Quit talking bad about garage built ar15s
Factory rifles are more desirable for resale value, ease of resale (most LGS don't want home builds), and warranty reasons. That being said, as someone who likes to put together rifles, I would never look negatively at a home built rifle, but I wouldn't look at it as a whole rifle. I would look at i...

Personally, I don't really buy into the wonder coatings. Buy a DD, BCM or Colt phosphate and call it a day. If you must, the nib or black nitride from Aero will serve you fine.

Re: Firearms Not Permitted List...
It's federally illegal to carry at the post office. As far as most other places, in WA, signs do not carry the weight of law and all they can do is ask you to leave. Just so everyone has the correct info.

Re: Looking for advice on lowers
Just to clarify, milspec needs nothing. It is used by everyone. A LMT, colt, or bravo company will work after heating up due to extended firing. An Anderson, dpms, etc. Will not. They may all look the same sitting in a store, but they function differently in the real world. You get what you pay for...

Can you site a law that prohibits a minor from possessing a rifle?Haynes and Sons Guns wrote:He can buy one, but once it is completed it is considered a firearm "what's in hand" is what they look at. So he can build it all up and finish the lower on his 18th birthday.

Re: First I-594 Violation Filed
I am almost sure that before 594 a private party could sell a handgun to a 18-20 year old. There were restrictions on where that 18-20 year old could carry it but it was and still is legal... You're sure about that, huh? I have always understood that to be true for long guns, but that to legally pu...

Crickets in my inbox, but I can't say I blame them. I wasn't overly friendly and may have used the words ignorant and arrogant as well as called them out on their lies of saying these rifles are only used to kill.

Re: Concealed Carry - Ammo damage causing malfunction
Are you not carrying chambered? Start getting comfortable with the idea if not. Leave it chambered and leave it alone. Once in awhile, shoot it, clean it and fill it with fresh ammo. If you clear the one out of the chamber more than a couple times without shooting it, set it aside for the range beca...

Re: AR 15 double fire trigger system no NFA
Yeah, looks like they won't ship to WA, but guess what, they will ship to ID. And how does that help a WA resident? Interesting question. If the devices themselves aren't actually illegal to sell or possess in Washington but it's just against company policy company to not ship it here, then why cou...

Last I heard, there is some doubt as to whether these are WA legal therefore manufacturers are declining to ship them here until it's settled.
