Re: Change the 24 caliber min in washington

I agree. If fmj's get banned some day it would be the generalities that that could plague us with our use of application specific bullets. Did I get that right? This is what is on my mind more than anything Also, As lead goes away and substitutes are being used, How a fmj is defined as a law could ...

Re: Change the 24 caliber min in washington

You need to govern yourself. To say legalizing .22 but banning fmj sounds like you have confused beliefs. Effectiveness/danger aside you should have the responsibility on your own to be accountable. Fmj should be banned from hunting in any caliber ,nothing confusing about that FMJ's have been used ...

Re: Hornady spray lube for cast bullets before sizing?

Well you can sure try a handful and see what happens. It is an intriguing idea. I've cast untold thousands of the same bullet you are making. Loaded about half without sizing at all lubed with alox. The rest were a mix of sized and alox lube and sized on my Lyman press with Lyman lube. All have work...

Re: Thought I was done buying guns fora while

In that light of a gun the 3.5" 12ga is as abusive as my 458 mag. Or worse. It's a less well designed stock and a much lighter gun. 2oz of shot at 1300 fps generates a substantial rearward acceleration moment. The gun itself is fine. The solution is just avoid the pointless 3.5" ammo. It's well wort...

Good video. First off I must say She is good with the camera. It's not wobbling all over, not rapidly panning everywhere, no rapid zoom in and out, etc. Refreshing. Nice deer too! Obviously up north, kettle falls area?

From what Ive ever read or heard they are very good. I know that for a long time they were supplying optics to our military. Don't know if they are quite in line with Zeiss or Leica but its a darn good neighborhood there.

Re: whats up with measure 1491 ?

We need to get rid of the initiative process, too many clueless/ignorant people voting 'yes' because it 'feels' good. Absolutely! Totally agree! Agreed! This initiative process is just an end run around our representative government with unchecked pure democracy. This is very bad policy. Its legisl...

Re: Help with a Marlin Model 60?

It's sad to See this degree of quality from Marlin. Years ago I bought a m-75C (18" barrel m-60) on a close out sale at Wards for $59. Not only did it function perfectly with anything I fed it, but it was the most accurate 22 I have ever owned. It would put a magazine full of Remington golden bullet...

Re: Firearms Not Permitted List...

The cineplex at Valley Mall is posted. Not that it ever stopped me. Concealed means concealed. Post office is a little different. I'll lock my CCW in my car gun vault before I even go on property. As I understand it, it is technically illegal to even have a firearm locked in your car on Postal Serv...

Re: Next purchase

I'm in agreement that 500 is a loooong way to shoot at game. Way too far for all but a few who routinely practice way past the normal 100yds. But let's assume you are skilled enough. Any accurate bolt action will suffice. High quality optics are a must at such ranges. BDC reticles are ok, but if the...

Re: 20 or 12 gauge?

In upland the 12's ability to handle a bigger payload isn't much advantage , I like a lighter gun say not more than 6 3/4 lbs and a slimmer grip and forend . I say get what feels and fits you best as either one will work Well that's not saying much, I mean you only shoot about 17,000 birds a year a...

ATF to ban open carry?

Ok this was posted in another thread by another member, so I think it deserves discussion. http://thebostontribune.com/new-federal-regulation-prevents-open-carry-of-firearms-in-all-50-states/ First off, where does the atf get the idea that they have the authority to control HOW you carry your firear...

There are lots of people around here who like those less common calibers. Ron, Doug, ArborRon, 256Robert. I stick to the more common calibers myself, but that doesn't make me any less or you any more weird. I think it's the people who only like the more common chamberings are the ones who are weird...

Yeah, sold him a handgun that was used to murder someone the very next day? No way on earth there was any legal possession to begin with here. Perhaps, but it's about as likely as hildebeast telling the truth. Problem is now they will get a case precedent set and it will make an honest challeng to t...
