Help me identify these bullets please....
I bought a ziplock full of these bullets awhile back but the guy couldn’t remember what brand they were. I measured and weighed them and they are 6mm/100grs. The bullet on the left is a 6mm 100gr Hornady spire point. Any ideas about the bullet on the right? Thanks.

Do all of the tips look that funky? Possible Speer seconds.

Yes the tips all look similar to that, some are better than others. Speer only puts the cannelure on their grand slam bullets and those have what is called a “mag tip” where the lead is flush instead of extended out. Also, these bullets have the little pre-cut in them to aid expansion unlike the grand slam. Thanks for the reply!

I did a little searching and the closest I can find with the pre cut slits are older Hornady Interlocks . They advertised inner groves to "strategically weaken the upper section of the jacket for consistent controlled expansion". They also have the cannelure.

Thanks Turner, I was thinking they were Hornady but the cannelure being wider and placed in a different location was throwing me off.Call Turner wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 11:14 pmI did a little searching and the closest I can find with the pre cut slits are older Hornady Interlocks .
