Any thoughts on the new Ruger Precision Rimfire?
https://www.ruger.com/products/precisio ... odels.html
Just announced. Was thinking of picking one up. MSRP is $529 but they can be preordered for 400 flat.
Buddy grabbed a RPR in 308 few weeks ago and its damned fun to shoot. This could be a fun little toy.

Read about that a couple days ago; something else I gotta add to my list.

If anyoen else ever searches here, I picked one up and love it! Total tack driver! Bolt runs smooth, excellent trigger, and M-LOK rails for whatever dumb accessories you want to waste money on... It will probably end up being the first rifle I suppress as well... totally fun little gun

Re: Any thoughts on the new Ruger Precision Rimfire?
I picked up one the other day and so far am pleased with it. Finally got to shoot it off a bench today & with a 3-9x scope 10 shot groups were running around 1" @ 50 yards. Did I mention it was snowing and blowing 10-20 mph. It was not a fair test of the rifles accuracy as I could watch the target move back & forth in the scope due to the wind. The rifle is fairly heavy for a .22 and the bolt cycling a little rough, hopefully this will smooth out with use.

Where did you guys buy it? I was out at Cabelas the other day and they had none in stock.

Re: Any thoughts on the new Ruger Precision Rimfire?
I bought mine at Dave's Gun & Pawn in Riverside, (North of Omak). I looked at one at Precision Combat but it was already sold at that time. They said they had more on order. I've had it out some more after changing the spring in the trigger and changing scopes. Best groups so far are 5/8" 10 shot groups @ 50 yards using Eley Match ammo, Lapua Center X shoots close to the same. Norma Match was a little under an inch and I was really disappointed in SK Std+. It usually shoots around 3/4" in most guns but the Ruger really didn't like it - not good at all. The bolt has smoothed up quite a bit with use & lubrication. The rifle is fairly heavy - be interesting to see if Lilja offers a barrel for it and what results people get with a better barrel.

I believe it was $399.00. Give him a call, he's good to deal with. He advertises on this site.
