All Semiautomatic rifles:
Due to the continued stupidity of the democrat lawmakers in Washington State, all semiautomatic rifles in Washington State can no longer be processed on a NICS 4473 (for now).
Washington lawmakers have changed the definition of "assault rifle" to include "ALL SEMIAUTOMATIC RIFLES". This includes 10/22's, M1's etc. and are included in the Wa State Assault Weapon Ban.

(30) "Semiautomatic assault rifle" means any rifle which utilizes a portion of the energy of a firing cartridge to extract the fired cartridge case and chamber the next round,
and which requires a separate pull of the trigger to fire each cartridge.

Washington Residents: You may offer to sell to a FFL only (as described in the Wa State Assault Weapon Ban).

Idaho Residents:
You may continue to post your State / Federal legal items that are banned in Wa State on SGT with a clear disclaimer.

We think they still can at this point. The law states that a Washington resident can only sell an "Assault Weapon" to an FFL, so at this point, we read that as, a legal interstate transfer through a FFL complies because the FFL takes possession of the firearm during the transfer and the State gets what they want by getting that terribly dangerous firearm out of the State forever.

How would you propose to transfer an M1 Garand? You can’t just do a NICS check, the ATF has stated you can only do pump, lever, or bolt guns. The other option is a state transfer, which you can only select handgun or Semi Auto Assault Rifle, defined by 1639, which by definition are illegal under the new ban. So if you have another method to complete a transfer/ background check, they are negated by default. Maybe they don’t fall under the new law (also 10/22’s because they are rimfire) but they are considered semi auto assault rifles with no legal way to transfer them.

It's not about HB1240. You didn't read the definition in the RCW link that we posted or this thread. We even posted the law as it was written for everyone. ALL SEMIAUTOMATIC RIFLES!

We can do that and the State will shut down our site and sue the owner. This is already happening to other businesses in Washington State. We will not let that happen.
