GALCO MIAMI CLASSIC

Post by EWU92 » Thu Jan 24, 2013 11:03 pm

Always wanted the Miami Classic, bought a new xdm 3.8 in 9mm and ordered the chest rig, pistol pouch is tight as hell, actually had to use vaseline to get it in there (no fun intended), then had to tap it out with a rubber hammer, am I losing my mind? should it go in easier? just lubed it up again, inserted the xdm, and plan on letting it sit a few days in the safe, thoughts?

I had one for my 1911. It was snug but not tight like that. Maybe some
of that shoe stretching spray they have been advertising on tv lately?

Had for a Glock 22, and a 1911, and an H&K USP .40s&w Full Frame, and they were all tight and took a few days to stretch, but never needed to lube the leather... :?
Strange...

after several days of lubing the holster, I soaked it in water over night, with the xdm inserted in two plastic bags, another member suggested this via PM, claims he did it with his own inadvertantly, after falling out of a fishing boat.

ok, curiosity got the better of me, I just removed my xd from the shoulder rig, after soaking it overnight in a bowl of water, pistol was also encased within two grocery bags, IT WORKED, thought the guy was sh*tting me, but it actually worked, the xd slides in and out, like a hot knife through butter.
