AR 15 BOLT CARRIER GROUP
Intetested in upgrading my bolt carrier group to something plated or stainless? What options are out there? What is the best?
This account is shared by two brothers. So don't assume it's me because it could be him.

Personally, I don't really buy into the wonder coatings. Buy a DD, BCM or Colt phosphate and call it a day. If you must, the nib or black nitride from Aero will serve you fine.

I've used alot of different BCGs over the years. The one with the best coating I'd say was the WMD Nickel Boron. Very slick and even coating that didn't discolor as bad as some others after use.
Try to look unimportant; they may be low on ammo...

Re: AR 15 BOLT CARRIER GROUP
I have a Fail Zero Nickel Boron coated SA/BCG and I was skeptical at first...Turns out I really liked it.
The whole "make cleaning easier thing"...I don't agree %100...But it did make the cycling of the action noticeably smoother and carbon has a harder time building up on the finish...Hence greater reliability...
It also took a few rounds to break it in and make it smooth. I still use a touch of gun oil on it...and I clean it with a dry clean brass brush and a clean rag...
I have a few thousand rounds on my BCG and I am actually really happy with it...

AIM surplus has a few options. So far all mine are good to go.
Do or do not there is no try.
